Destination-Irvine The Northwood Gratitude and Honor Memorial will be holding a special Remembrance Ceremony on Memorial Day; Monday, May 27th at 5 p.m. The ceremony will include candle lighting and reading the names of the most recent Fallen Heroes. For your comfort, it is recommended you bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating in the meadow.

Destination-Irvine If you are a local Orange County resident this is a great way to help out victims of the Oklahoma tornado disaster even though we are 1,000 miles away.
John D. Rockefeller said it best when he said "I always tried to turn every disaster into an opportunity." Now is our opportunity to help those affected by the recent tornado disaster, we are working with Streetwise Ministry to collect items that will be delivered to those in need. Started today until Friday morning feel free to drop off items at the front desk. Thank you in advance for your donations.

Irvine's Global Village Festival

Would you like to travel around the world in a mere few hours? Well you can, right here in OC at Irvine's Global Village Festival on Saturday September 29th from 10am-6pm, Bill Barber Park.
 
 This festival marks Irvine's 11th anniversary of celebrating the many cultures of the world; and is ‘the City's largest and most attended community event'. Admission is FREE, Food Tickets are $1 each, with food prices ranging 1-3 tickets per item, and off-site parking with shuttle services are available!
 Leading up to the festival will be a ‘Walk for Unity' hosted by Humanity Unites; this 5K walk starts at the corner of Harvard and San Juan at 8am, come together with Irvine to support cultural diversity!
Bring your family and friends to experience various global delights! Enjoy a compendium of live entertainment including music, dance, and demonstrations from around the world; sample authentic and infusion food & beverages from local restaurants and food trucks; indulge yourself at the ‘Sweet Stop' (yea, I'm talking to you, over there with the sweet tooth); get lost in the hustle and bustle of the International Marketplace where unique gifts, crafts, artwork, and textiles are at your fingertips; let the kids run wild at the Kids Village ‘featuring kids-inspired music and dance performances, an inflatable play area, crafting, games and sports activities, plus "kid-friendly" food selections that appeal to our younger guests' (Free stickers for parents to write their mobile # down and stick on the back of their child(ren) will be available); visit the Exhibits to learn about ‘other cultures through interactive displays, costumes, artifacts, and art'; become educated on how to be environmentally friendly and sustainable at the Green Expo; explore World Religions by interacting with ‘faith-based organizations from the Irvine area'; and become educated on the programs and services of many non-profit and local community groups and government agencies at the Community Partners Pavilion.
