Destination-Irvine Tickets are still on sale for the OC Beer Festival tomorrow afternoon at Irvine Lake. Beer, food and great Southern California weather. Sounds like a good Saturday afternoon to us!
The 5th annual OC Beer Festival follows last year's sold out event, and this year's promises to be even bigger and better. The event will feature dozens of international and domestic beers, a handful of food trucks (food sold separately) as well as live entertainment.

Theater Ticket Giveaway for South Coast Rep's Anastasia Krupnik!

Irvine is literally surrounded by great theaters that rival Broadway productions and many times surpasses them in production quality. One of my favorite Orange County theaters, South Coast Rep, consistently produces a wide spectrum of shows that impress - edgy, risk taking theater all the way to the other end of the spectrum of family theater for kids. SCR's Theater for Young Audiences continually hits the mark with productions designed especially for children and their families.

SCR is partnering with Destination Irvine to giveaway a family four pack of tickets!

Terry Anastasia KrupnikTen-year-old Anastasia is opinionated, sassy and funny.  Really funny.  Of course, she also has a funny name, but she'll make up for it in this offbeat story taken right from the pages of her diary.  It's about all the things she loves-and hates-and what she plans to do about them.  This memorable story from the Newbery Medal-winning author of The Giver is a wonderful portrait of childhood and family life, complete with all its ups and downs.

If you were delighted by last season's performance of Junie B in Jingle Bells - Batman Smells, then your family will enjoy South Coast Repertory's Theatre for Young Audiences performance of Anastasia Krupnik February 8th-24th.

                          WIN Tickets!

To win a family four pack to the Saturday, Feb 16th  4:30 pm performance of South Coast Rep's Anastasia Krupnik, all you have to do is enter a comment below sharing a childhood memory of a trip to the theater.  Contest ends Wednesday, Feb 13 at 7pm. Good luck!!

The very first stage production I saw was when I was in 3rd grade - we took a field trip to see "Annie". I loved it and have been hooked on theatre ever since!

As a kid I remember going to see a children's theater performance. I don't remember which one, but I do remember that the cast came out to the lobby after the show to sign autographs in the program. I got such a kick out of that, feeling like I met real life stars.
