Ellen Bell is the author of the history book, “Irvine: Images of America.” She also writes the local travel blog, SoCal Day Tripper where she takes readers along on fun field trips that explore the culture of present day Orange County as well as the heritage of its past. During baseball season, she is known as “The Afternoon Angel,” where she writes a fan blog on the OCRegister.com sports page. She is a contributing writer for Orange Coast Magazine, Yahoo!
