Holiday Pricing for Great Park Balloon and Carousel Launches Today

• Children 16 and under fly free on Great Park Balloon with paid accompanying adult
• $3 for all-day pass for Carousel rides

IRVINE - The Orange County Great Park is introducing holiday pricing for the Great Park Balloon and Carousel beginning Friday, November 8 and continuing through January 5, 2014. The holiday pricing means all children 16 years old and younger fly for free on the Great Park Balloon with a paid accompanying adult and an all-day pass for Carousel rides can be purchased for $3 per day. Flights for visitors 17 years old and up remain $10.

Since it was launched in July 2007, the Great Park Balloon has become an Orange County icon. With the ability to hold up to 25 to 30 passengers and soar 400 feet above the surrounding landscape, it serves as a public observation deck for the Great Park's development and offers an unmatched 360° view that spans 40 miles on a clear day.

Featuring hand-painted artwork inspired by vintage orange crate labels and Orange County scenes, the Great Park Carousel debuted at the Great Park in October 2010. It is a favorite for kids of all ages and carries up to 36 passengers.

The Great Park Balloon and Carousel are open Thursdays-Sundays every week. Availability to ride is on a first-come, first-serve basis, and may be subject to weather conditions. Both the Great Park Balloon and Carousel are wheelchair-accessible.

The Orange County Great Park is located at Sand Canyon and Marine Way, and can easily be reached by the 5 or 405 freeways. For more information, please visit or call 866-829-3829.
