Food and Beverage Operations to be Managed by Island Hotel headed by Executive Chef Bill Bracken

For Immediate Release - Irvine, CA - The ground has officially been broken on a new banquet facility and golf retail store for Oak Creek Golf Club. Known for having one of the finest public golf courses and practice facilities in Southern California, Oak Creek has made the commitment to become the venue of choice for upscale golf tournaments, weddings, parties, and corporate events. Once completed, the 2,500-square-foot banquet facility will reside adjacent to the 1,100-square-foot golf retail store and reflect the existing Spanish-style design of the full-service clubhouse. The target date for project completion is slated for mid-January, 2012.

Oak Creek will also feature a new food and beverage provider beginning January 16, 2012, when it welcomes its sister property Island Hotel Newport Beach to take over the reins of its very popular Oak Creek Café, snack bar, beverage cart and expanding catering operations.

"We are thrilled to announce our facility expansion and that the Island Hotel will be our partner immediately following the New Year," said Vice President of Golf Steve Friedlander. "To be able to provide an indoor event space for more than 200 people will allow us to better service the local community, our business customers, and especially our golfing clientele. It is icing on the cake to introduce the Island Hotel, led by award-winning Executive Chef Bill Bracken, as the future manager of our food and beverage operations, and for all of us to be able to witness firsthand their expertise in providing great service and fine dining as well as that perfect balance of taste and presentation. All of which combine to make for that perfect power breakfast or special catered event."

"We look forward to extending the high level of hospitality that Palm Terrace at Island Hotel is renowned for to the members and visitors at Oak Creek Golf Club," said Chef Bracken.
