This week's broadcast of the Peter Greenberg Worldwide Radio Show comes from Irvine, California. The city is nestled in the heart of Orange County, just about 40 miles south of Los Angeles. Irvine is one of the first master planned cities in the United States, built with specific intentions in mind. Some lovingly say you can't go five minutes without hitting a park or a pool in Irvine, and that is almost true. As the city expanded past its original target population of 50,000, they have made concerted efforts to maintain easy access to outdoor spaces. Joining us on the program to talk about the city's master plan and some of the gems you'll find there is the great grandson of the town's founder, Jim Irvine Swinden. Then, Los Angeles Times Business Writer Hugo Martin shares his frustration with the TSA and why their system is not working. We are also joined by Chef Yves Fournier of Andrei, a restaurant that is not just focused on quality farm-to-table cuisine, but 100 percent of their net profits go towards the Andrei Foundation, which contributes to eye research and blindness support. There's all of this and more on this week's broadcast of the Peter Greenberg Worldwide Radio Show in Irvine, California.
