Estimated daily customers at Irvine-area restaurants grew to 56 per business in March of last year, 6% higher than the average for the rest of the year.

Topping the list is a location of the North Italia chain. Located at 2957 Michelson Drive in the Business District, it's the most popular Italian restaurant in Irvine, boasting 4.5 stars out of 3,155 reviews on Yelp.
2. Cucina Enoteca
Next up is the Irvine Health and Science Complex's CUCINA enoteca Irvine, at 532 Spectrum Center Drive. With four stars out of 2,198 reviews on Yelp, the wine bar and Italian spot, serving pizza and more, has proved to be a local favorite.
3. Ray's Pizza
University Town Center's Ray's Pizza, at 4199 Campus Drive, is another top choice. Yelpers give the Italian spot, which offers pizza and salads, four stars out of 268 reviews.
