Flawlessly Freckled Family & Travel
By Janee Smith

My son and I recently took a trip out to Irvine CA, thanks to Destination Irvine, and we knew right away it was going to be a long adventure and there was no way we could make it back home the same day. We stayed at the Wyndham Hotel Irvine and the stay was NOT a letdown, it was wonderful. We opted for a single bed and we were set up on the 7th floor. Upon arrival, we were greeted by two employees at the front desk. I was treated with such warmth and kindness, which is rare in this day and age, it really is rare, no really, lol.

Each floor had an ice machine/vending machine on it. Also in the corner was a microwave for everyone to use. Not bad.|

From our room, you could see the basketball court outside. Since it was about 88 degrees outside I could see why no one was playing that evening. More people did arrive after the 6pm sunset and got a quick game in.|

In the Lobby was a business/computer area for people to use. Although the rooms do have wifi in them you could easily go downstairs and use their computer area to finish your business needs. It was pretty quiet and no one would bother you in there.

Also in the lobby was a small convenience area. Jayden spotted this right away and his eyes zoomed in on the Frosted Flakes cereal, not something I let him have at home. I purchased him some Frosted Flakes and I grabbed the Lucky Charms and some milk. To pay for it, you had to pay at the front desk and they gave you the spoons as well.

Other wonderful things that this hotel has to offer is an indoor pool, it's on a different floor. There was a breakfast area available on the 14th floor but it's only during the week, not on the weekends. It also has a pretty good restaurant (Click here to see review).

My favorite parts of the hotel had to be the lighting in the bathroom, beautiful. The bed was so comfortable, for me having 3 herniated discs in my back, it is very important to have a comfortable bed. I loved the employee hospitality because it's not something that is common anymore, especially on the west coast. Also, the view from the 7th floor was amazing and I'm sure the view from the top would be even more beautiful than what I was able to capture on camera. I also liked that I was able to get a handicap parking spot near the entrance. It's the little things that I love at the Wyndham but the big things that will keep me a loyal patron of this hotel.

Jayden loved the TV selection of channels and the sofa in the room. He had a nice little area to play with his new toys that he got for his birthday during our trip.
