Just because summer is over doesn't mean you have to put off your favorite seasonal activities until next year. Whether you're passionate about mountain biking, surfing or rock climbing, there are indoor alternatives aplenty and warm weather getaways are just a hop, skip and a flight away. Ice Skating Outdoors in Irvine, Calif.

Ok, it might not be the true summer activity of roller-skating, but it's close: West Coast residents won't need to hop a flight to New York City for ice-skating at Rockefeller Center this holiday season. SoCal has its very own indoor ice skating rink conveniently located in Orange County. The Spectrum Center in Irvine hosts an outdoor rink from October through February, where visitors of all ages can purchase one session or a season pass, rent skates and take lessons.
