From Fourth-Generation Family Grocer to New Chef at Highly Popular Eatery
EATS Kitchen & Bar, a popular all-day contemporary restaurant, announces the appointment of Jeff Moore as its new executive chef overseeing culinary operations for both EATS Kitchen & Bar and Red Bar and Lounge.
Moore has been part of the food and hospitality industry since high school when he worked
at his family's Californian, fourth-generation Moore's Market in Lunada Bay, Palos Verdes Estates. It was here he learned the art of butchering and appreciating cooking with different meats. This early exposure started a devotion to customer service and is when he developed his management skills. At 19, he worked in restaurants as a dishwasher, and his culinary career building experiences have continued in Utah and California for the last 15 years.
At EATS Kitchen & Bar, Moore will create the seasonal menus that the local community and Hotel Irvine guests, both leisure and business, have come to enjoy. EATS serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, happy hour and the restaurant's popular weekend brunch. He will manage all operations and supervise the EATS hospitality staff, as well as oversee the food menus in the hotel's Red Bar and Lounge.
Moore calls his cuisine "modern California" cooking and is committed to California farm-to-table kitchen values, highlighting the highest quality seasonal products and local sustainability. He looks forward to organizing and hosting wine and beer dinners and other fun culinary promotions. In this new position, Moore wants to extend the restaurant's outreach to support more local venders and producers.

Previously, Moore distinguished himself as executive/regional chef for the Lounge Group in
Newport Beach, Calif. He was responsible for supervising eight properties throughout Orange County that received industry honors and Orange County media kudos during his tenure. Earlier in his career, he worked as chef de cuisine at Hopscotch Tavern, a former Lounge Group property in Fullerton, Calif., at Montage Laguna Beach's award-winning The Loft and for several years did stints at restaurants in Utah, including Desert Bistro in Moab.
Moore has two children, ages two and four, and when he's not cooking and enjoying his
family, he likes to hit the ski slopes and mountain bike.
