Haunts, Harvests and Pioneers at Heritage Hill Historical Park

Published: 10/06/2014

(Lake Forest, Calif.) - This fall, OC Parks and Heritage Hill Historical Park are pleased to present a festive calendar of events to get the family into the spirit of fall.

Saturday, October 11 Heritage Hill Historical Park and the City of Lake Forest present the Autumn Harvest Festival. Enjoy a Halloween costume parade, games, family entertainment, a haunted schoolhouse maze, and trick-or-treating throughout the park. Docent-led narrative tours in the historic buildings will be offered. The event will be fun for the whole family and children are encouraged to wear costumes.

Haunt at Heritage Hill returns to the park for two terrifying evenings of Halloween fun Friday, October 17 and Saturday, October 18. Those who dare can tour the haunted house and scare mazes. Enjoy live music, themed stage performances and a classic horror movie screening. Costumes are encouraged for all to be a part of the scary tradition.

Seasonal events continue at Heritage Hill with the Pioneer Roundup on Sunday, October 26. Family members of early pioneers will attend this meeting of the Saddleback Area Historical Society to greet long-time friends and reminisce about old times in the Saddleback Valley. Come meet the pioneers, hear their stories and learn about the early days of the area.

Put on your costume, find your trick-or-treat bag, and visit Heritage Hill Historical Park with your family this October. Let the seasonal adventures take you places beyond your imagination!
