A new place to stay...
The Irvine Spectrum has evolved into a world class downtown area; complete with innovative entertainment, retail and dining experiences.
The only thing missing was a hotel.
On Monday, July 7th 2014, the missing piece was put into place as the new Courtyard by Marriott - Irvine Spectrum opened to the public.
This premium hotel will be a flagship for the chain that caters to the business traveler. Marriott has spared no expense in the 50 million dollar project aimed at creating a destination where guests can relax and re-energize.
"We've really pushed the envelope with this hotel," said Jonathon Vopinek, Vice President of Asset Management for RD Olson Development at the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
"Economic viability is a core value in the community of Irvine," said Mayor Steven Choi. "This hotel speaks to the bright future of business in our city."
Amenities are the key at the Courtyard-Irvine Spectrum. Every imaginable convenience is available, making a productive business trip feel more like a vacation.
Each of the 210 guest rooms are designed to be a traveler's oasis.
Complimentary Wi-Fi, 40 inch Smart TVs with DVR capability, and IHome docks all combine to make guests feel at home.
Guests at the Courtyard -Irvine Spectrum don't need to stay in their rooms to enjoy the comforts of this special hotel.
The 1,600 square-foot Fitness Center, equipped with state of the art elliptical machines and TRX training is a great way to relieve the stress of a busy day. The outdoor, saltwater lap pool with Wi-Fi wired cabanas is the perfect place to relax and unwind. There's even a putting green to work on your short game.
Most business hotels focus on function. Weary travelers are accustomed to spending their free time in spartan lobbies searching for rare electrical outlets.
The Courtyard - Irvine Spectrum has shattered all of the old business hotel conventions. The public spaces are spacious and inviting, with a nod to the local history of the Irvine Ranch.
The Horseshoe Bar offers artisan draft beers and a place to watch the big game. For a little private time, there are cozy booths with individually controlled TVs. Fresh breakfast and healthy, hot dinner items are served daily in The Bistro.
In many ways, The Courtyard - Irvine Spectrum looks and feels much more like a business resort than a business hotel.
"We wanted to build a hotel that business travelers would love and could count on," said Vopinek.
Working hard has never been so easy to do.
