Gad Elmaleh is one of the biggest and most recognizable comedic talents in the world, with a number of exciting projects in the works. Gad displays his polished, thoughtful, comedic genius in his recently released English speaking comedy special, Gad Elmaleh: American Dream, on Netflix. Fame, fortune: He had it all. Then he moved to NYC. In his latest Netflix special Gad shares his hilarious take on dining out, hooking up and starting over in America.

Gad’s relationship with Netflix continues as the French star got the greenlight on his first original series Huge in France, in which he co-created, executive produced and will star in. The half-hour, eight-episode comedy series is inspired by Elmaleh’s life and career while following his move from France to the United States. The sitcom is currently being filmed in Los Angeles and Paris, set to premiere in January 2019.

On stage, the charismatic master of comedy exudes comfortable presence, while delivering his smart, witty and relatable material. Gad gives his audience an extraordinary perspective of seeing our country from the outside in while immersing himself in the US culture. It is this unique combination that has made him one of the most widely known and beloved standup comedians working today.

In 2017, he released Gad Gone Wild, a Netflix Original showcasing Gad’s impressive multi-lingual ability, as the material was performed in a mix of English and French. Gad’s sharp observational humor earned him the reputation as the Jerry Seinfeld of France. He had the opportunity to join comedy forces with Seinfeld in the highly anticipated performance at the famed 2017 Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal.

Since his move to the United States, the comedy powerhouse has quickly grown from being one of France’s most renowned standup comedian to becoming a global comedy sensation. In 2015, he completed a residency at Joe’s Pub in New York City, which saw him performing to sold-out crowds for more than fifty nights. The impressive run led to a major multi-city comedy tour across the United States, culminating in a sold-out show at the world-famous Carnegie Hall in February 2017.

Overseas, Gad made history by selling out the prestigious Olympia theater hall in Paris for seven consecutive weeks, a feat that had never before been accomplished. He followed the sold-out run with another seven sold-out weeks of shows at the Palais des Sports, a 3,800-seat venue also in Paris.

In the film world, Gad starred as “Ben Salaad” in the Steven Spielberg-directed film The Adventures of Tintin and could be seen opposite Owen Wilson and Rachel McAdams in Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris. His additional film work includes Pattaya, The Midnight Orchestra, Capital, Les Seigneurs, Happiness Never Comes Alone, Jack and Jill, La Rafle, Coco, and more. Gad has also made memorable

appearances on a number of American television programs including Conan, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Late Night with Seth Meyers, The Daily Show, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, and more.

Gad was born in Casablanca, Morocco and speaks four languages: Arabic, French, English, and Hebrew. He currently splits his time between New York and Los Angeles.

Elmaleh has amassed an immense social media following garnering over 8 million Twitter followers @gadelmaleh along with his 4.9 million Facebook followers at
