Paintings by Veronica Schmitt will be on display at John Wayne Airport (JWA) as part of JWA’s Community Focus Space Program.

“Travelers at John Wayne Airport will enjoy museum-quality art through Ms. Schmitt’s colorful work,” said Orange County Board of Supervisors Chairman Andrew Do. “Her paintings illustrate the incredible diversity of our world.”

Ms. Schmitt’s paintings primarily consist of figures and urban landscapes with light as the strongest element. Her visual approach explores the interplay with shadows or reflections in relation to vibrant color.

“My paintings are intended to create a mood, revealing a passionate transformation of an ordinary scene,” states Ms. Schmitt.

Ms. Schmitt was previously a graphic designer who completed her graduate degree in Art at Ecole National Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in France. She became a fine art painter shortly after moving to the United States. California impressionist artists and the exploration of a world that was new to her had a significant impact on her work.
