Steep Canyon Rangers are masters of bluegrass music as you’ve never heard it before. Ever since a group of students at the University of North Carolina came together in 2000, the Asheville, North Carolina based band has been expanding and redefining the boundaries of bluegrass.

While winning Grammys, perennially topping the Billboard charts, and frequently collaborating with the renowned banjoist (and occasional comedian) Steve Martin, this genre-defying sextet has spent nearly two decades bending and shaping the bluegrass aesthetic, combining elements of pop, country, and folk rock. With their richly textured, highly spirited sound and exceptional musicianship, the Steep Canyon Rangers are ever-evolving, always moving forward, searching for new music horizons and vistas while creating something original and all their own.
