On Jan. 1, 2016, Irvine, the center of Orange County, will garner world-wide attention as Destination Irvine joins dozens of floral-clad floats, marching bands, equestrians and other parade entries in the 127th Rose Parade® presented by Honda. With more than 700,000 spectators and 81 million television viewers worldwide watching the parade, Irvine hopes to make a lasting impression on a global scale. Press release
"Innovation Rocks," the theme of the Destination Irvine float, features a colorful floarl lab scene with animated gears and test tubes along with a whimsical Peter the Anteater as a scientist.

The Destination Irvine float, Innovation Rocks!, is located at the Rosemont Pavilion, 700 Seco Street, Pasadena (just south of the Rose Bowl). Unfortunately, the volunteer schedule is FULL and they are no longer accepting requests.
If you wish to volunteer at Rose Palace, 835 South Raymond Avenue, Pasadena and decorate a different float (not Innovation Rocks!), please click here, as the schedule is still open (as of 12-16-15).
