Irvine Attractions

CVB Tip

One of Irvine's top attractions is Irvine Regional Park — if you're traveling with kids, take some quarters for pellets to feed the animals at the petting zoo.

It's true that Irvine offers convenient access to many of the activities of Orange County, but it's also true that Irvine attractions offer much to see and do right here.

The Orange County Great Park, still in its infancy, will one day be twice the size of Central Park in New York City and today offers rides in its giant, iconic orange balloon — a great way to see Irvine from 400 feet in the air.

If you prefer to keep your feet on the ground, Irvine Regional Park is one of the oldest and most beloved Irvine attractions, perfect for a simple picnic or an afternoon of paddleboats, biking or horseback riding.

Irvine Regional Park is also home to the Orange County Zoo, just the right size for a morning walk and up-close encounters with the region's great cats, raptors, bears and more.

For art lovers, Irvine offers a handful of must-see stops, including the Irvine Museum, where masters of California's turn-of-the-century impressionist movement capture the delicate play of light breaking over hills and ocean cliffs and prove that when it comes to natural beauty, France has nothing on California.

At the other end of the art spectrum, the Beall Center for Art + Technology at the University of California, Irvine, delivers a high-tech multimedia art experience with video and interactive exhibits.

With all of this plus everything from ballet to biking, golf to go-karts, skateboarding to harvest festivals and local farms, let your Orange County experience begin and end with Irvine attractions.
