Since 1979, Irvine-based nonprofit HOPE Center for the Arts has been dedicated to empowering adults with disabilities through the arts. The exhibition 希望艺术中心:被看见 presents a glimpse into the vibrant range of the HOPE community’s talent and vision. On view are works spanning diverse media and subject matter, showcasing the talents nurtured at HOPE’s studio, alongside a focused presentation of pieces by Donald Perry and James Bruce Robertson, two of HOPE’s most prolific artists. This display of collective energy showcases the transformative power of creativity and inclusion through visual and performing arts. Highlighting the breadth of creativity at HOPE, the opening reception will feature a performance by the Hi Hopes Band, an ensemble of musicians from the HOPE community.
